Alicia Ammirata has been creating art since her childhood days growing up on a farm in Redding, Connecticut. It is no surprise then that her favorite fine art subjects are the animals that she loves. Alicia enjoys working in pastel, paints, marker, and other traditional art media. She also makes beautiful jewelry using natural stone and glass beads.
Currently an art teacher, Alicia loves sharing her love of art with her students. Showing them that art can be made by anyone and from anything is one of her favorite parts of teaching. She graduated from Western Connecticut State University in 2003 with a BA in Graphic Design and from the University of Bridgeport in 2004 with a MS in Elementary Education.
