About the Artist:
Ellen Childs graduated from the University of Michigan with a BS in Design (Painting major) and received her MFA in Art History from UMass. She taught Art History at the University of Hartford 1982-1998. Ellen painted two dogs from 2005 New Hartford “Dog Daze” and also painted a sitting bear for the Northwest Connecticut Arts Council “Bear Affair” in 2007.
